The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is an internationally acknowledged English language assessment that is intended for individuals aspiring to further their studies or seek employment opportunities in English-speaking countries like Canada, Australia, and UK. This examination aims at assessing an individual’s skills in using English language in listening, reading, writing, and speaking.
There are two versions of the IELTS: the academic module that is taken by students applying for university admission, and general training module that is for individuals seeking migration or work opportunities. Candidates receive band scores that go from 0 to 9; the higher the score, the better English skills one possesses.
